Information about the tank:

• The T-72 tank was produced since ca. 1971. It was not produced in the Sovjet Union only but in other states of the Warsaw Pact and India as well and it was delivered to many allies of the Sovjet Union.
• It was used in many conflicts like the wars in Lebanon, the golf wars, Yugoslavia wars, the wars in Chechenia, in Iraq, the civil wars in Libya, Syria and in other conflicts.
• A speciality was the automatic shell loader, so a personal loader was not necessary.
• The standard equipment includes ABC protection, night view and smoke discharger. Additionally the tank can be equipped with a snorkel.
• In the middle of the 1980s the T-72 was equipped with reactive armour which enforced the armour protection by 25-30 percent.
• With additional tanks the range could be expanded.
• The crew consists of 3 soldiers.
• Approximately 20.000 tanks were produced.
