Information about the tank:

• The "Jagdpanzer Kanone 90 mm" (or "Kanonenjagdpanzer 4-5") tank destroyer was a further development of the german Jagdpanzer IV of world war II.
• It was used by the German army since 1966 to support the infantry against enemy tanks.
• With introduction of the sovjet tanks T-62 and T-72 the tank destroyer became obsolete as the gun was not strong enough to be used in an effective range against these tanks.
• Since 1983 most of the Kanonenjagdpanzer were converted. To rocket tank destroyers Jaguar with the TOW missile launcher as well as to observation and leading tanks.
• Until 1990 Kanonenjagdpanzer remained in service for the "Heimatschutzgruppe" (comparable to the national guard).
• A Kanonenjagdpanzer 90 mm is displayed in the "Panzermuseum Munster" in Germany.
