British standard tank model of world war I
Information about the tank:
- The Mark IV tank was the british standard tank in world war I.
- 420 male tanks with cannons and 595 female tanks with machine guns were built.
- The Mark IV tank began its service in september 1917.
Several tanks of world war I are displayed in the "Bovington tank museum" in the south west of England. Including a diorama in the scale 1:1 which gives a good impression. The museum is in walking distance of ca. 45 minutes from the train station "Wool".
As the armour of world war I tanks is thin and the tanks are slow, it is not planned to provide data cards for the tabletop game "PANZERSCHLACHT" of the STRATAK BATTLES series.
