Information about the tank:

SU means self propelled gun.

• The SU-122 was developed in November 1942 and production ended in August 1943.
• It was in use since February 1943.
• Its chassis is based on the famous T-34 and some SU-122 were changed to SU-85 as the SU-122 was not good enough as tank hunter.
• It was used as assault gun, based on the experiences with German assault guns. The howitzer M30 was used as gun.

The only real SU-122 is displayed in the tank museum Kubinka, near to Moscow.
