Short description of the game:

The objective is to conquer most of the cities within a playing time as agreed at the beginning of the game. So the playing time is flexible and can be decided by the players.

Each player starts with his own state on one of the gameboards of the playing field and expands his state by conquering foreign cities on the playing field.

At the beginning of the game you set 1 tank on each city, added by additional units like tanks, fighters, bombers and landing ships, depending on the agreed supply points and rules.
By conquering foreign cities you expand your domain.
Depending on the units you choose for combat, you have advantages against the units of other players which are influenced by the landscape. The landscape influences movement and combat as well.

Supply points are gained for recently conquered cities only. So you have to move forward, if you want to expand your armies.

If you conquer complete foreign countries you can produce new units in the foreign cities in addition to your own cities. But take care! These cities are difficult to hold as you loose this ability, if just one city of this country is conquered by another player.

The game ends after the agreed time or number of rounds ends or if one player sets his last ownership counter.

Alternatively you can play the game until one player remains.
But this variant may take a long time, depending on the size of the playing field and the used units.

The standard game includes (variants have expanded or reduced content):
- 6 double sided gameboards in a size of 28 x 19,4 cm (appr.) for many different setups of the playing field.
- 720 counters for tanks, bombers, fighters, landing ships and property counters of the following countries: Great Britain, Italy, Russia, Germany, USA, Japan.
- 2 dice, 6 bags for the counters and an english as well as a german rule with basic rules, advanced rules, alternative rules, a sequence of play description, a display section for the landscapes, cities and a counter description.

You can build many different playing fields with the boards in the sizes:

28 x 38,8 cm for 2,
56 x 38,8 cm for 2 or 4 and
56 x 58,2 cm for 2-6 players.

Alternatively you can setup a playing field in the size of
84 x 38,8 cm.

(By adding additional board 45/46 of the test- & travel-set and boards 5/7 and 6/8 you can build a big playing field of the size 84 x 58,2 cm but these additional boards are not included in the box and have to be ordered.
Alternatively you can order many maps and counters of the STRATAK WARS INDIVIDUAL series to create bigger playing fields and huge armies with infantry, guns, ships, etc.)

Recommended for players with an age of 14 years or older.
Not suited for children younger than 3 years.
