• The  Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) "Marder" is the standard vehicle of the german "Panzergrenadiere" (armoured infantry men) and a successor of Sonderkraftfahrzeug 251
• 2136 Marder were delivered to the german forces since 1971
• Their fighting ability has been improved to several versions (A1 to A5) during the 70s (A1), 80s (A2), 90s (A3 and A4) and since 2002 (A5) - for more details, please look at the german description
• The "Marder" Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) is displayed in the tank museum "Panzermuseum Munster" in Germany.
